The author explains Figure 5 as follows: "The red or orange points in figure 5 are grade-separated intersections between cars and bicycles. All the black lines are cycle paths, which are separated from motor traffic vertically or horizontally. Some of these are shared paths for pedestrians and cyclists, shown by a specific sign. But Figure 5 does not include sidewalks. Cycling is not allowed on sidewalks. We do not have any painted cycle lines on the same vertical level as cars." |
