Shared-lane arrows

These arrows are placed at the right side of Rue St. Urbain, in opposition to the usual purpose of shared-lane arrows, to indicate a riding location away from the curb. That location is appropriate -- and the bicyclist in the photo has chosen it, in spite of the arrows. As the sign above the traffic signal indicates, motorists may turn right here.
