This is the bicycle with some of the first modifications Sheldon made to it. Note the original crankset and handlebars; steel front brake; rear caliper brake which he installed; two Sturmey-Archer trigger shifters for the Sturmey-Archer 5-speed hub; no derailleurs yet; Brooks Swallow saddle which is not original equipment.
