Looking at the cross street, with the barrier-separated bike lane in the background -- note same van at top left in photo and pedestriian in dark jacket jaywalking past its right front fender. The one-way street that goes from left to right has a barrier-separated contraflow bike lane on its far side. Unlike the same-direction barrier-separated lanes, that lane poses no inherent conflict with the rules of the road, as it is in the normal location for opposite-direction traffic. It is, however, rather too narrow for one bicyclist to overtake another safely. Another Another pedestrian in a white coat is walking out across the contraflow bike lane. The bike-bus lane in foreground has striping and bollards to channel right-turning traffic to its left, and the checkerboard warning area for crossing and turning vehicles in the intersection.
