JFK Street -- 4

The bicyclist completes crossing after the light has changed and traffic begins to move on Memorial Drive. Fortunately, the first vehicle in line in the outside lane (the green Volvo station wagon) was going straight and blocked others from turning right across the bicyclist's path. One issue with this intersection is that the pedestrian interval is longer than bicyclists need, but bicyclists have no indication when it is no longer safe to cross, at the time when they know they would have to wait longest for the signals to favor them. A bicycle signal head might be justified in this location.
