The sign on the left reads "bikes only", odd at a crossing that also could serve pedestrians. The yellow sign has a picture of a trolley car and reads "look both ways". Note the bike lane on the far side of the street. It instructs bicyclists to keep to the right of motor traffic even though the bicyclists can easily reach the speed limit on this downhill run -- which leads to the intersection shown in the next photo.
