Note the sign just before the cross street instructing motorists to turn right from the left lane. This is in spite of the bike lane's being on the other side of the motor vehicles at this point. But in the next block, at Brodway and Williams, the second lane -- on the left side of the bike lane -- becomes a dual-destination lane, also carrying right-turning traffic. Several crashes have occurred with right-turning motor vehicles in the second lane colliding with through-traveling bicyclists. Correct lane positioning for bicyclists would be in line with the motor vehicles so as to be visible to drivers turning right.
