Brandeis students park their bicycles here in an unsheltered, insecure area. Demand clearly exists. Most of the bicycles here probably belong to students who live off campus. Campus Police decribe no reports of thfts from this location, but still it would make sense for the University to provide bicycle parking at its main gate, where there is a campus police presence.
