Newton Street

The rotary and Hammond Street are visible at the upper left. Newton Street enters from the left, goes around the rotary and continues across to the right. The Putterham Meadows municipal golf course is at the top. Newton Street is the roadway to the south of the median and West Roxbury Parkway, the one to the north. They presently serve as a two-way arterial. The proposed two-way sidepath is on the north side of West Roxbury Parkway; both roadways have both been narrowed in this proposal. Newton Street is to serve as a frontage road.

The Northeastern students' presentation includes a photo from just east of Walcott Street on this section of the plans. An enlargement of the cross-section diagram, at the location of the cross-section line near the right side of the drawing is available.
