Tear down that wall
July, 2010: the new Twenty poses in front of the familiar slanted brick wall at Newton North High School, location of many of Sheldon's photo shoots. Both of his children attended this school. My wife teaches there. All things must pass -- the building was about to be demolished as a new building rose on the other side of the school grounds. The writing is not grafittii. It indicates to the demolition crew that there is no hazard of burst water mains or gas pipes.

Better seen in this photo than in others: the Pletscher rear rack, whose clamp-on seatstay attachment worked poorly on most bicycles. The Twenty has a stock Pletscher Plate so this rack bolts on securely. I have replaced the rack stays with stouter and shorter ones made from the seatstays of a trashed frame. I have both trigger controls for the Sturmey-Archer 5-speed hub mounted on the right handlebar, leaving my left hand free for signaling and braking.
