NOTES

Cover and Title Page Design:

I drew a Celtic cross for the design because it seemed to me that it expressed Alexander Stewart's life. He loved and served Jesus Christ; the Cross is the symbol of Christianity. He loved and served people: the Circle was a symbol for the round or cycle of life.

The tartan background is a black photocopy on red paper of the Dress Stewart tartan.thistletr.gif (3550 bytes)

The Maple Leaf and Thistle:

Judith Stewart Gohringer drew this motif, [right] symbolizing Canada and Scotland.
