Wrong way
The bicyclist who had threaded between parked cars passes another cyclist who is carrying baggage on the handlebar and riding opposite traffic. The wrong-way bicyclist is keeping closer to the curb, as is usual when riding illegally opposite traffic on a street without a separate bikeway. The usual custom on bicycle paths is to keep right, the same as on streets, but this bikeway alternates between being part of the usual traveled way (at intersections) and separate (between intersections). A wrong-way bicyclist also poses a significant hazard of collisions with pedestrians, who may not expect bicyclists to be traveling against traffic.
